UNIQLO's first SA store will open in 2022!
Japanese global apparel retailer, UNIQLO, today reveals it will bring its world-class retail experience and famed service to South Australia. Responding to high demand from local customers, UNIQLO will open its much-anticipated first retail store at 10:00am on Thursday 24 November at the Myer Centre Adelaide.
UNIQLO Myer Centre Adelaide, set in the largest shopping centre in Adelaide’s CBD, will offer local customers a full line-up of LifeWear apparel for men, women and kids, alongside seasonal collaborations with designers such as JW Anderson, Christophe Lemaire and Jil Sander and its UT (UNIQLO graphic T-shirt) range. UNIQLO LifeWear is simple, high-quality, everyday clothing with a practical sense of beauty. It is ingenious in detail, well-thought through with all life’s needs in mind, and always evolving.
The new UNIQLO store will be located close to the South Entrance of the Myer Centre Adelaide, and will span approximately 1,000 sqm of sales floor. Further to bringing UNIQLO closer to people in South Australia, the new store will also contribute to the local economy, initially generating approximately 80 employment opportunities for the local retail industry.
Speaking of the occasion, Kensuke Suwa, Chief Operating Officer of UNIQLO Australia, said, “Our South Australian customers have shown tremendous support since we arrived in Australia. This opening is not only a special milestone for the shoppers in the Myer Centre Adelaide, it is also for everyone at UNIQLO. Whenever we open a new store, we want to deliver the best possible UNIQLO and LifeWear experience for local customers. We worked hard to find the perfect location, and the Myer Centre Adelaide is a wonderful place that sets us up perfectly to put our best foot forward in South Australia,” he said.

This is the second time that UNIQLO is partnering with Starhill Global REIT, which owns Myer Centre Adelaide. In 2018, UNIQLO opened its first store in Perth, Western Australia, at Plaza Arcade, which is also owned by Starhill Global REIT.”
UNIQLO Myer Centre Adelaide will mark the retailer’s 26th store in Australia. The store also marks UNIQLO’s fifth state, alongside Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, and Queensland.
