Rundle Mall Management Authority General Manager Amanda Grocock encouraged shoppers to venture into the Mall to see first-hand the new world-class decorations, including two oversized presents large enough to walk through.
“We wanted to reinvigorate people’s sense of wonder and have tried to achieve that with the scale of the decorations this year. Standing under them you’re dwarfed by their size much like when you were a child and experienced an overwhelming sense of excitement at Christmas,” Ms Grocock said.
“It’s also important to us to make the Christmas shopping experience as stress-free as possible, so we’ve extended trading hours, have a free shuttle buggy service running and lots of activities to entertain children.”
Back by popular demand this year is Rundle Mall’s Free Night Cinema Before Christmas, screening films under the Gawler Place Canopy from Monday, December 14, until Friday, December 18. The movies include National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, The Santa Clause, The Holiday and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Also under the Gawler Place Canopy, Rundle Mall’s Christmas Market will be held on Sunday, December 13, from 9am until 5pm. Shoppers will be able to peruse homewares, accessories, tech gadgets and much more to find the perfect gift.
The much-loved Christmas carousel will be spinning in Rundle Mall from Monday, December 7, until Sunday, January 3, with rides just $6 per child.
