What are the prerequisites for running an event in Rundle Mall?

The promotions conditions of hire provide a full list of requirement, however the key considerations are:

  • Public Liability insurance ($20 million coverage) is required for all promotions
  • An ATO Endorsement Letter is required to receive the Charity/ Not for Profit discount

Rundle Mall offers a range of locations for events to suit your needs. Spaces vary in cost and are priced accordingly. Is vehicle access available on Rundle Mall?

Approved event applications may also apply for vehicle access to the Mall using the online vehicle registration form. Please note that there are strict guidelines for obtaining vehicle access and that access should not be automatically assumed. Vehicles can be used for display purposes with prior approval

What happens if I decide to cancel my event?

If you choose to cancel a confirmed booking within 30 days of your event, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total hire fee is payable. If cancelled within 7 days of event, the full fee will be charged

How do I make payment for my event?

You can make payment online via the Adelaide City Council secure online payment system or by mail, phone, direct deposit or in person, as the instructions on your tax invoice

What power is available in the locations if required?

Standard 10 amp power and three phase 15 Amp is available from all power outlets in Rundle Mall. Cables and cords must not cross over walkways or footpaths. Please note you must have current tag and testing displayed on all cords required for your event. If this is not displayed you cannot access power in Rundle Mall.

All electrical cords and cables must be suitable for outdoor use, be tagged and tested by a licensed electrician and be safely secured and hidden from view.

If cords and cables are exposed, appropriate cable trays or mats are required.
