City Wide Business Model

Over the last few months the City of Adelaide has been exploring the implementation of a City Wide Business Model. The purpose of this project is to accelerate and drive economic growth and prosperity for the City and position Adelaide as a great place to live, work, study, visit and invest.

In June, Council endorsed investigating the expansion of the Rundle Mall Management Authority Charter to deliver on this initiative. On Tuesday 29th September, the draft amended Charter will be presented to a Special Committee Meeting for Council Members for discussion prior to formal approval at a Special Meeting of Council on 6th October. It is anticipated that the amended subsidiary would be operational from early 2021.

Please be assured that the staff at Rundle Mall Management will continue to provide dedicated support and promotion of the Rundle Mall Precinct throughout the remainder of the 2020/21 financial year. The team will ensure delivery of the Council and Board endorsed Annual Business Plan and Budget including:

  • COVID-19 Roadmap to Recovery
  • Spend and Win campaign
  • Christmas (including Black Friday and Boxing Day)
  • Events and Activations
  • Marketing and Promotional support
  • Retailer and business support

We will continue to keep you updated throughout this process. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards,
Johanna Williams,
General Manager, Rundle Mall
