Having come across Smith & Collins and Denis' prized project the Ball of Light - we thought what better way to bring still life to the Mall than colourful spheres!
Rundle Mall prides itself on its iconic Spheres and with the inaugural launch of the Living Colour Festival what better way to represent the Mall.
Although not originally from Adelaide, the city has become such a deep part of me. I spend a huge amount of time in the city, regularly venturing through Rundle Mall and I love the transformation. To be asked to create a body of work in the precinct as part of the Living Colour Festival was truly humbling.
Light painting has really grown as an art form, using it to bring colour and life to Rundle Mall was fitting and the night I spent creating the images was both challenging and super rewarding. The images you see here are normally created in the dark, creating the images in the bright light of the Mall was always going to be a challenge, but I am happy with the results.
